"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

BUILDING A SOLID FOUNDATION

Recently, we changed the way we’re structuring the financial side of our new build. We’ll be creating a new nonprofit organization called the Living Water Foundation, which will be in charge of building usage and community coordination.

The decision was made in part due to the fact that our construction project will now cost more than $7 million, as this restructuring will grant us access to more state and federal funding.

However, it also created an opportunity for us to make LWFF a church with no bills. Instead, the Foundation will handle the construction, business, and maintenance of the building—and the church will have a permanent, rent-free residence there. Plus, with our emphasis on outreach, we’ll truly be able to live up to our vision of becoming a community hub that expresses God’s love to all.

THE MIRACLE GOAL

We know that sounds extraordinarily ambitious for a small village church, but God is showing Himself faithful. Our new goal is to raise $1.5 million in private philanthropy by mid-May, and here’s why:

  • We currently have $1 million in private philanthropic funds
  • If we raise another $1.5 million, either by direct donation or with written pledges, we will qualify for a higher tier of government funding.
  • We recently applied for a $2.5 million request with this goal in mind.
  • If awarded, this can be matched with a $2.5 million state request.
  • With $2.5 million in philanthropy, $2.5 million in federal funding, and $2.5 million in state funding, we will surpass our $7 million goal!

God is showing us how He can take our mustard seed of faith and turn it into a mighty tree of victory. So we are trusting Him with our $1 million and expecting to see Him return it to us sevenfold. That’s just the kind of God He is.

It’s been a dramatic, exciting journey so far. We can’t wait to see where God will take this community—and we’ll be sure to share that news with you when it happens.
